Mezzanine and Elevated Platform Fall Protection
Fall protection and falling object protection on the fixed elevated surfaces of a warehouse, including mezzanines, pick modules, rack-supported platforms, catwalks, and elevated work platforms, covering the 4 foot trigger for guardrail, safety net, or personal fall protection at any unprotected side or edge, guardrail and toeboard criteria, pallet drop and hoist openings whose removable guardrail sections, chains, or gates stay closed whenever loading is not in progress, self-closing gates or offsets at ladderway openings, stair rails and handrails, the maximum intended load of the surface, safe access and egress by stairs and fixed ladders instead of climbing rack, protection of the people and the floor below, inspection of guardrails and gates, and correction of hazards before the surface is used again.
