Stretch Wrap Machine Operation and Film Changes
Safe operation of semi-automatic and automatic pallet stretch wrapping machines of the turntable, rotary arm, and rotary ring types, covering pre-start checks, loading a pallet squarely with the forklift and keeping the forks clear of the machine, the marked exclusion zone that keeps people out of the rotating zone and the film carriage travel path while a cycle runs, guarding of turntable pinch points, film carriage nip rollers and drive components, light curtains, interlocked gates and emergency stops and their testing, attaching and cutting film only with the machine stopped, the line between a routine film roll change done with the machine stopped from outside the guard and any fault, jam, or guard removal that requires full lockout by an authorized employee, machine anchoring, housekeeping of film scrap and cores, and defect reporting with out-of-service tagging.
